An Android app that automatically replies via SMS to every missed call. The SMS is sent from your SIM card within 2 seconds. For freelancers, doctors, tradespeople, realtors, cosmeticians, photographers, e-shops — anyone who answers phones as part of their work.

You download the app, create an account on the web (2 min), choose templates, set a schedule. When someone calls and you don't pick up, MissCall sends an automatic SMS from your SIM within 2 seconds.

MissCall is currently available only in 27 EU member states: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden. Not available: USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland, Australia, or other non-EU countries.

No. iOS does not allow apps to send SMS in background. MissCall exists only for Android (8.0+). iOS version is not planned.

SMS goes from your SIM, so you pay your operator the regular SMS rate (usually €0–€0.10 per SMS). With an unlimited tariff you pay nothing extra. MissCall does not charge for sending.

Yes. In account settings. Service stays active until end of paid period. No cancellation fees.

Yes. Annual subscription costs as 10 months — 2 months free. Can be cancelled anytime with proportional refund.

Not for sending SMS — that goes through GSM. Internet is needed only for syncing settings with the web. The app caches rules and templates locally and works offline after first sync.

Yes. In settings you can choose which SIM card SMS goes from. Default is the primary SIM in the phone.

No. The app does not run continuously — it activates only when a call comes in. Battery usage is in the order of tenths of a percent per day, often not even registered by built-in stats.

MissCall works in DND mode too. Missed call detection happens at OS level, independent of sound or vibration.

The app starts automatically after Android boot. You don't have to think about it.

Only email (for login), SIM phone numbers (for device identification), your text templates, and SMS history (date, recipient number, used template — not the message body). No GPS tracking, no reading your other SMS, no contact access except where you set "only contacts from address book" rule.

Yes. Data is stored in the EU (Firebase region europe-west3 — Frankfurt). You can request deletion of your account and all data anytime as required by GDPR. See privacy policy.

No. SMS body is generated on your phone and sent via Android SMS API. Our servers see only the templates you created (because you store them there) — but never the actual messages sent to callers.

We test every new major Android version before release. If anything breaks, we ship a fix usually within a few days. App updates are automatic.

Each country has different regulations for automated SMS (TCPA in USA, CASL in Canada, FADP in Switzerland, etc.). Compliance requires significant additional work that we have not yet completed. Currently focused on EU. Possible expansion to other markets in 2027+.
